Truminds TruConnect Technology Solution is a powerful Cloud native Industrial IoT Platform integrated with Edge Gateways developed for diverse ecosystems. It is also designed and developed to meet the needs with precision, ensuring smarter and more reliable energy management. We had successfully deployed TruConnect in various complex use-cases and one among them is Smart Streetlight Management system, for one our European clients. The challenge is to manage 9,000 streetlights across the city and we were able to deliver not only intelligent but scalable and efficient solution leveraging our TruConnect technology Solution.

Key features of the platform includes:

1. Interactive map interface:

TruConnect platform provides a real-time visual representation of all 9,000 streetlights. Each lamp’s status—whether online or offline—is displayed on the map, enabling swift monitoring and corrective actions.

2. Smart lamp controls:

Automates lamp operations with scheduling capabilities, allowing lamps to turn on or off based on predefined timings.

Dynamically adjusts brightness levels based on need and time of day, reducing energy consumption.

Certain lamps in sensitive public areas are designated as monitoring-only devices with restricted control access, ensuring enhanced security and tamper-proof functionality.

3. Energy monitoring and savings:

With the ability to calculate energy consumption and savings, the client can effectively manage operational costs.

The system also generates detailed reports for energy usage analysis.

4. Device grouping and scheduling:

Enables grouping of streetlights for batch controls and scheduled brightness adjustments, tailored to specific areas or needs.

5. Issue notification and maintenance tracking:

If any lamp encounters an issue, the system generates a notification.

Maintenance tickets can be raised directly within the platform and updated once resolved, ensuring streamlined operations.

6. Flexibility:

Supports various hardware models and communication protocols, enabling seamless integration with different vendor devices.

Challenges addressed:

Energy inefficiency: Previously, there was no method to control energy consumption based on daylight hours. TruConnect allows precise control, significantly reducing wastage.

Diverse hardware integration: The solution accommodates multiple hardware vendors, thanks to our internal IP libraries and configurable properties for each device.

Fast Deployment and Client Success:

The flexibility and readiness of TruConnect platform ensured timely delivery to our client. The platform’s ability to align with the unique operational requirements of global customers is helping us achieve smooth implementation and accelerated TTM.
